In the draw Aylesbury were to play Beaconsfield, Milton Keynes getting the bye. Beaconsfield failed to fulfil the fixture, therefore Milton Keynes play Aylesbury in the final without either side entering the field of play, home advantage has been drawn by Aylesbury by the league organising committee which is expected to be played on the 20th November.
Saturday`s so called friendly against Northampton Casuals was played in the normal professional manner, quite a few changes made with players injured in the bruising encounter last week at Grove taking a week off to recover.
A shock start for the home side as Casuals scored and converted within 1 minute of the start, after the wake up call Dave Matthews replied with a try, not converted, 3 more tries in the half for Milton Keynes from Kieran McConnell, Ashley Hill and Mads Jenson, just 1 conversion by Nick Allen and a catch up try by Casuals gave a half time score of 22---12 to the home side
Second half and a 7 try romp was started by Kieran McConnell picking up his second try, followed by 1 a piece for Terry Woodall and Andy Champ. Sam Viggers crossed the line twice, and Mads Jenson picked up his second try, to round of the try romp Dan Pearson picked up 5 points.
From these tries, 2 conversions a piece from Nick Allen and Terry Woodall rounded of the afternoon.
