From the restart following Windsor`s second try the ball was secured and passed to Kieran McConnell who broke the defence tackle and made good ground before passing the ball to Dan Rolfe who made the try line to score. Phil Powell added the conversion making it 14-7. Soon after Milton Keynes were awarded a penalty, Phil Powell slotted the 3 points, City now dominating the game, but still behind, with the score at 14 – 10.
From the re-start the ball again collected by Milton Keynes, Andy Champ, received the ball before passing to Dan Pearson who scored City’s second try. City now in the lead at 14-15 and surged further ahead with a try from Rob Matthews, both conversions were missed but the visitors were well in control at half time with the score at 14 - 20.
The second half was evenly matched to the 3rd quarter, but unfortunately Stuart Tomkinson received a yellow card, the Milton Keynes pack worked hard to make up for being a player short for 10 minutes.
A further penalty was awarded to Milton Keynes, duly converted by Phil Powell, taking the score to 14 - 23. Dan Pearson scored a further try after Milton Keynes won the ball from a Windsor scrum. Dan Rolfe took the ball and with a good pass back to Dan Pearson, to score his second.
With just a few minutes to go Milton Keynes allowed Windsor to score two tries, with City thinking that the game was already over, fortunately neither try was converted. There were no further scores and Milton Keynes won the game 24 – 28.
