This was a comfortable win for MKRUFC although not always pretty to watch, both sides had post Christmas blues with higher than expected errors.

The points started with a penalty awarded to MKRUFC which Juan Santirso confidently slotted between the posts.

Lee Tribe made a good break soon after the penalty with a run of some 80 metres to score, having broken through a number of tackles.

A second try was scored by MKRUFC before the end of the first half, this was one of the better moves of the first 40 minutes ending with Vince Clarke scoring in the corner.

Early in the second half ill discipline from MKRUFC gave Hungerford the chance to kick a penalty to put some numbers on the board.

The MKRUFC pack were dominant throughout the game putting the Hungerford scrums under pressure. A number of balls were won against the head by the visitors throughout the match. The dominance of the pack was instrumental in the third try, after some 20 minutes a maul occurred close to the home team’s try line. Ben Pearson broke off to score.

Head Coach, Dan Pearson joined the game with 15 minutes to go and made an immediate impact on the game by increasing the average weight of the team by around 2 stone.

Vince Clarke added a second try to his tally later in the game finishing off an afternoon with another win.
