Thunder bolts and Lightening very very frightening.....

Two sides and some brave supporters stuck it out to the end in a game with atrocious weather conditions which included thunder and lightning, rain, hail, and wind. It was with surprise that both sides were able to provide some decent flowing rugby.

City started the scoring within 2 minutes with Dan Rolfe scoring under Reading's posts. Phil Powell had an easy conversion for an early lead for the home side.

City were generous in giving Reading penalties and through this they were able to work their way towards the home sides line and eventually scored an unconverted try reducing the half time lead to just 2 points.

Despite the close score Milton Keynes were the more dominant side and were playing with commitment and considerable skill in difficult conditions.

Reading kicked off the second half with the ball going straight to Powell. City were able to score within a minute of the kick-off. Unsurprisingly with a strong wind the conversion was missed.

The thunder and lightning commenced halfway through the second half. This didn't deter a Milton Keynes side determined to get the bonus point. Ollie Fountain added a further try following a double miss move making the score 17 - 8.

Dan Rolfe added a second personal try near the end of the game grabbing an intercepted ball to complete the match with the final result of 24 - 8.

City remain fourth in the league with no game due this Saturday.
