2s Win the Local Derby

20-22 sums it up!
What a game! MK stuck to the game plan and used the quality in our backs with strong runs from Andy Poole and Stuart to take a decent 10 point lead. With Dan Jones and Brian Purcell taking control and although MK were under pressure from their big runners our defence lead by Iain Talbot was outstanding and we went to half time in the lead.
The second half saw MK extend the lead with two great early try’s, but Bletchley’s strength in the pack started to show and the MK forwards were under increasing pressure as Bletchley strengthened their side from the bench, but defence held strong and MK weathered the storm to get the second victory this year.
Days like this is why I love the game all 18 players stepped up today and gave 100%. The commitment from all you was outstanding and it was a real pleasure to lead you Zulu Warriors on Saturday, a big thanks to all the players who played out of position, came out of retirement for the cause and helped me with the organisation throughout the day.
